Start - Westwoodside Recreation Ground car park, off Akeferry Road, DN9 2DS

   From the car park turn left down track to Akeferry Road, cross Akeferry Road.

   Go ahead passing the School and Village Hall.

   Turn right down Sandbeds Lane, passed Sandbeds Farm and join the track which rises steadily to Church Lane, continue ahead crossing Tower Hill to Cross Hill.

   Turn Left onto Cross Hill continue descending down Upperthorpe Hill.

   At the lovely village pond turn left into Commonside and follow it to its end at a T-junction.

   Turn right here and cross the road and proceed to a mini-roundabout.

   The walk here turns left along Akeferry Road, continue to the track (point 2). Turn right along the track and return to the car park at the recreation ground.
