Start - Caistor Road, New Barnetby, DN38 6EB

1Go downhill down Caistor Road at public footpath sign turn left, which heads slightly uphill continue to Stile.

2Go over stile into horse paddock and out other side via stile (this horse paddock can be avoided by going along left side of hedge) to road.

3At road turn left, cross road, at public footpath sign go right and continue ahead, through gate, veer left at bottom of field through wooden gate onto Old Post Office Lane.

4Turn right along Queens Road, cross to pavement on other side, continue along St Barnabas Road to mini roundabout.

5Turn left down Victoria Road, continue until before railway bridge.

6At public footpath sign turn right, continue straight ahead with railway line on left, continue uphill, at top continue straight ahead through wooded area, bend right and go through wooden gate continue ahead to the road in New Barnetby.

7Cross road to public footpath sign, straight ahead, railway line still on left, through wooden gate, continue straight ahead to another wooden gate to road.

8At road turn right for short distance, cross road and turn left at public footpath sign, walk through crop field (may not be reinstated).

9At end of wood dog leg right (be warned large camouflaged irrigation pipe may be hidden under overgrowth here).

10Follow track to left to tarmac track, continue on track heading for airport.

11Turn right onto a lane gaining entry through an unusual walker-friendly gate go down lane for short distance.

12At the footpath sign, turn right (may be overgrown). Cross a wooden bridge, continue through woods, then across a crop field (may not be reinstated). Follow the field edge, veer right at the track, keeping the hedge left. Watch for irrigation pipes.

13Before hedge bends right, take the left track through a wooden gate in hedge, head straight on through crop field (may not be reinstated) to wooden gate, go through gate slight left then continue on track back to road where cars are parked.
