Start - Messingham Sand Quarries Nature Reserve car park, DN17 3RE

    Leave car park via information board on wide grass track, continue straight ahead.

    Turn right going slightly uphill to view pond, turn round and retrace route back to main track.

    Turn right onto main track (zone 3 ) marker post, continue on track through (zone 4 & zone 5). At V junction take left hand side (zone 6 ) through (zone 7) ponds on both sides of track.

    At V take right track to Duck Hide (passing the Peter Medland memorial board).

    After visiting the Hide return taking right track going downhill (zone 8).

    At zone 11 marker post turn right (zone9) over wooden duck board & continue ahead.

    Continue along this track through (zone 10).

    Visit Wader Hide, leave hide & return on track back to wooden duck board.

    Turn right (zone 11) continue ahead ( sheep in field on left).
  10. 10
    Continue along this wide track (zone 12) track goes narrower (zone 13), continue ahead through (zone 14 & zone 15) eventually going over more duck boarding into (zone 16), continue over more duckboarding ahead down wide grass track returning to car park.
