1Leave the Fishery car park, turn left Church Street, turn right into a waymarked path.

2Just after a blue conifer turn left up a waymarked path with the lovely All Saints Church on your right.

3The path meets the road at a 3 way junction, Front Street on your right, Vicarage Lane ahead but we follow the road to the left. This is uphill walking.

4Take the right-hand road, which rises more gently. You’ll emerge from between disused quarries onto the top. After rounding a bend, traffic on the A15 can be seen and heard to the left. Ignore the first right turn—this is Vicarage Lane.

5Take the second turn to the right walking steadily down hill.

6Just after the road bends to the left take the right hand road at this junction. Walk steadily downhill, cross the crossroads keeping the same direction and take the first road on the right (Chapel Lane) back to the start.

7Turn right into a waymarked path.

8Turn left into Church Street and walk up a slightly rising road, returning to the car park.
