Start - Belton Picnic area, DN9 1NY

  Leave car park turn left along pavement (narrow) going uphill.

  Turn left at public footpath sign going diagonally across crop field toward horse paddock. Ahead over wooden bridge and through 3 sets of wooden gates, continue ahead (wall on left) continue to track.

  At track turn right, turn left at road at bend go right.

  Turn left up Stocks Hill (Church on right) continue to Crown Inn, behind Pub take left public footpath sign diagonally over rough ground, continue ahead to track.

  At track turn left then after 20 yards turn right through field (wide track) continue ahead to road.

  Cross road, turn left.

  Turn right down Birds Lane, continue ahead.

  Turn right at public footpath sign.

  Turn right at Public footpath sign (have a break here) continue to main road.

  Turn right at main road, cross road carefully.

  Turn left down Woodhouse Lane, continue ahead.

  Turn right, continue along track.

  At main road turn right.

  Carefully cross road turn left at public footpath sign go along old railway line back to main road (A161), carefully cross road and return to car park.
