Start - Belton Playing Field bottom car park, off Jeffrey Lane, DN9 1LU

    From playing field car park approach Jeffrey Lane, turn left, cross the road carefully and follow the pavement to the High Street.

    Carefully cross the High Street, turn right and in a few yards turn leftup a wide lane, continue ahead, upslope, ignoring the first lane on the left.

    Turn left onto a grassy footpath which heads towards and slightly to the right of the Churchtown Church in the distance.

    At the end of this path bear right along a wider grassy path.

    Where the path ends, turn left onto a wide unsurfaced lane.

    Immediately before the houses turn left along an initial field edge path which becomes enclosed and emerges opposite the Crown Inn.

    Turn left into the field and immediately right following the field edge along the backs of gardens and paddocks.

    At a gap turn right, then keep to the left of a grassy way down to a gate, step around the gate and you emerge onto the High Street between a barn and a bungalow.

    Turn left along the pavement, look out for a sign indicating the playing fields on the opposite side.

    Cross the High Street, follow the single lane access road into the playing field area, pass the Pavilion crossing to the bottom car park.
