Speak Out Scunny is a spoken word open mic night which takes place at Café INDIE, usually on the third Thursday of the month. Doors open at 6. 30pm with time for coffee, cake and conversation with the actual open mic starting at around 7. 30pm.
Slots of up to five minutes are available to anyone wanting to perform, regardless of experience.
Poetry, prose, comedy, monologues or sketches – all are welcome just turn up and ask for a slot. No booking required.
If you don't want to perform you are welcome to come and watch.
Parental Advisory: we welcome young people both as performers and in the audience, but we cannot guarantee the night won’t contain adult themes and language.
